ABOUT THE TRAINING

PMI-NB will be hosting a study group online to help participants from across New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island study and prepare for these certifications.

Study Group Duration: Jan 15th – Apr 08th, 2019 (6:00 - 9:00 PM) – PMP exam change is occurring in July 2020. The last date for candidates to take the current version of the PMP exam is now June 30, 2020. Starting July 1, 2020, the PMP exam will reflect the new exam content. As such, this study group will cover all knowledge areas from PMBOK v.6 and fulfill the educational requirement of your PMP prerequisites.

PMI-NB recommend that participants schedule their exams early in order to ensure a place prior to the deadline.

SG Format & Agenda: 

In Jan 2019, PMI-NB extended online attendance as part of our Study Group to participants from across the province and received great feedback from all attendees. In Jan 2020, we would like to maintain this option for individuals across New Brunswick and extend it to individuals from Prince Edward Island. This will be the principle attendance mode for the January 2020 timeframe. We will also organize occasional face-to-face gatherings in larger centres throughout the session to facilitate networking and support.

PMI-NB provides books/materials, Study Group leaders and PMP subject matter experts (SME). Participants must provide their own online access. The focus of the study group is the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK). Each week focuses on a specific knowledge area of the PMBOK with the PMP SME study group members providing a presentation covering the related PMBOK chapter, followed by a group exercise prepared by one of the participants. Remainder of the time period is group discussion and test quiz samples.

Cost per attendee: ($750 +HST) for PMI New Brunswick members and ($850 +HST) for non-members. See note 1

Past participants: ($125 +HST) for PMI-New Brunswick members, and ($150 +HST) for non-members. For participants who attended a previous PMI-NB Study Group, this could be a great refresher before sitting for the exam. Books and materials are not included in cost, but may be purchased separately: SG Materials - only for past PMI NB participants.
